We are heartbroken to share the passing of Al Smith, a beloved member of FFB Bank’s Board of Directors, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 86. Mr. Smith’s contributions to the Bank and to the community as a whole were immeasurable, and he leaves behind a lasting legacy of service and dedication to the Central Valley.

In addition to serving on the Bank’s Board of Directors, Mr. Smith had a distinguished career in broadcasting and served on numerous other boards, including the Sid Craig School of Business, the California Broadcasters Association, the Rotary Club of Fresno, and the Fresno Chamber of Commerce. He was also recognized as the host and narrator of Legends and Legacies, which chronicled the history of Fresno and the Central Valley.

There is no doubt that Mr. Smith’s love for and commitment to Fresno profoundly impacted our community. His influence will be long remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his contributions will never be forgotten. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Mr. Smith’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
